Intern Application and Selection Process

We utilize the AAPIC online application process developed by The Association of Postdoctoral and Psychology Internship Centers (APPIC). As a member of APPIC, we also participate in the computer matching process for the selection of our Psychology Interns. We fully endorse the APPIC policy summarized in the following statement: 

"This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC Policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant ."

General Instructions are available on the front page of the AAPIC online, as well as instructions for each separate section of the Application.

As specified in the AAPIC Online application, please include a cover letter, the summary of personal and educational information, the summary of your doctoral experience, certification by your department clinical director, 4 essays, a CV, letters of recommendation, and graduate transcripts. We do not require any materials supplemental to the AAPIC online. 

We strongly recommend that your cover letter includes: 

  • How do you envision our internship progr am meeting your training goals and interests? 
  • What are your expectations for internship? 
  • Any long range personal and professional goals
  • Your current vita reflects applied professional experience
  • Two of your three letters of recommendation are from persons familiar with your clinical work.

The deadline for submitting application materials is  Sunday, November 16, 2020.
