Mental Health 101 Training
This 90 minute training, available for both staff and students, focuses on the following:
- Current national mental health statistics in addition to WVU-specific characteristics
- Effective listening skills
- In-depth look at the services provided by the Carruth Center and the CARE Team
- Reviews the warning signs of suicide
- Allows participants the opportunity to discuss how to safely intervene with students who are in distress.

- Thursday, January 18th, 10:00 - 11:30 AM
- Tuesday, February 20th, 12:00 - 1:30 PM
- Wednesday, March 20th, 2:00 - 3:30 PM
- Monday, April 8th, 4:00 - 5:30 PM
All Faculty and Staff sessions will be offered via Zoom.
Open enrollment sessions for Students:
- Tuesday, January 30th, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
- Wednesday, February 28th, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
- Thursday, March 21st, 5:00 - 6:30 PM
- Friday, April 5th, 12:00 - 1:30 PM
All Student sessions will be held in-person in the Student Health Building Yoga Room, Room 101.
