This summer, the Carruth Center is providing services both in-person and via Telehealth. Please visit our scheduling page to review your eligibility and see available resources.

Drug and Alcohol Counseling

WVU’s Student Assistance Program (SAP) offers an array of services for students with alcohol or other drug concerns, including individual assessment, individual counseling, psychoeducational groups, and online educational activities. Students interested in receiving alcohol or other drug counseling may contact the Carruth Center (304-293-4431) to schedule an appointment. Self-referrals are welcomed. Students who seek SAP services are required to participate in an intake/evaluation by the SAP staff.

Psychoeducational services during COVID-19

SAP is offering psychoeducational online opportunities (assignments/reflections) to replace the psychoeducational SAP groups.  Please contact CCAPS if you would like to schedule an initial appointment for your mandated referral to SAP. Please email us at WVUCCCPS@mail.wvu.edu if you have any questions or to discuss your treatment options.

Individual appointments during COVID-19

Please contact us via email if you would like to schedule an individual SAP appointment.
