Dear Potential Applicant,
Welcome to our training site! Thank you for considering the Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services (CCCPS) as a potential practicum placement opportunity. CCCPS is an advanced practicum site for doctoral students in Counseling and Clinical Psychology. Practicum counselors gain experience, training, and knowledge in various clinical activities typical of a university counseling center, as well as further develop their ability to function as competent, effective, and ethical therapists.
Each year, CCCPS offers four Graduate Assistantships and several Practicum placements. These numbers may change yearly depending on funding, available space at our center and the overall quality of the applicant pool.
Graduate Assistantships come with stipends, are for 20 hours per week, and are generally intended for more experienced students. Practicum placements are unpaid, for 16 hours per week. You will find information about the application process under How to Apply.
We realize how important finding the best fit for your training needs is and how stressful that search and application process can be. Because of this, we want to make this process as easy as possible. Feel free to explore our site.
