Therapeutic Orientation

I believe that humans are mind-driven and relationship-driven beings. I adopt an integrative approach of Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy in my clinical practice.

Areas of Clinical Interest

I am passionate about working with college students who are facing adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, substance use issues, childhood/chronic trauma, and social/relational challenges. Additionally, I am interested in multicultural aspects of therapy, especially exploring the intersectional cultural influences on all facets of people’s lives. I also enjoy exploring and processing spirituality/faith concerns.

Bio

As an international student from Asia, I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I received my first master’s degree in applied developmental psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. After two years of work as a research assistant and a behavioral therapist for children and adolescents, I decided to go back to school to hone my professional skills in helping adult clients. I received my second master’s degree in clinical psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University in May 2020. I have worked with clients in university settings and community mental health settings with a broad range of concerns that include self-awareness, mental health, life transitions, crisis, and relational challenges. I am very excited to start my role as a predoctoral intern at WVU. When not in the office, I enjoy spending time in nature with my family and friends, cooking, and watching movies.
