Bio
Originally from Vietnam, I graduated from the Master of Social Work program at West Virginia University (WVU) in 2018. At WVU, I also earned a Master of Arts degree in TESOL (Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages)/ Linguistics in 2015. I have had experience working as a mental health therapist at different settings (community organizations and universities) in both Vietnam and the U.S. to provide service for people of diverse backgrounds including young children, adolescents, college students, adults, seniors, couples, families, addicts, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Aside from practicing psychotherapy, I have been an instructor of ESL (English as a Second Language) for learners of a wide range of ages and backgrounds in Vietnam and the U.S. since 2008. I enjoy dancing, yoga, cooking, doing crafts, learning languages and connecting with people, animals and nature. I believe that everyone is an expert on himself/ herself/themselves, and with appropriate support he/she/they will become more motivated to overcome struggles and challenges.
