I practice from a psychodynamic perspective while integrating cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies. I believe in a collaborative, humanistic, strengths-based approach to treatment tailored according to client presenting problems, characteristics, culture, and preferences. I am committed to empowering clients to overcome obstacles to create their chosen life worth living and practicing cultural humility through interpersonal openness. In my work, I draw from Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Integrative Psychology, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

Adjustment, anxiety, depression, family of origin, identity, life transitions, mindfulness, post-traumatic stress, relationship issues, self-care/self-compassion, and spirituality.

Bio

I am a clinical psychology doctoral candidate with over 7 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of adults with anxiety, bipolar, depression, eating, posttraumatic stress, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. I have worked with diverse patient populations across settings including a crisis house, residential treatment facility, private practice and forensic institute, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, psychiatric academic research center, and Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). I graduated with a BA in English and BS in Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. I earned an MA in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University (AIU) in San Diego, California and I am completing a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) through CSPP.

Hobbies

I enjoy coffee shops, libraries, live music, the mountains, and the ocean. I love spending time with family and friends, especially my husband, son, and our Hungarian Vizsla named Ginger.
