Bio:
I am a first-generation college graduate from rural Western Pennsylvania. I earned my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Duquesne University. Prior to joining the Carruth Center team, I worked in college counseling centers at Point Park University and Slippery Rock University. I have provided services to children, adolescents, and families in home, school, and residential treatment settings. I believe that counseling provides an opportunity for one to gain perspective and develop new ways of relating to oneself and others. With newfound self-awareness, clients are better equipped to navigate life’s difficulties often with greater self-compassion and flexibility.
Hobbies
My favorite hobbies are spending time outdoors with family, gardening, reading, and baking/cooking. I love exploring the outdoors and hiking in state and national parks.
