Academic Resource Center
The
Academic Resource Center offers academic
support for WVU students. Tutoring is available in several
different subjects and locations.
Betty Boyd Loans
The Betty Boyd Loan was established in memory of former Dean Betty Boyd to help students facing a financial crisis. The loan is available in an amount not to exceed $300.00.
Students needing assistance can contact Campus and Community Life at 304-293-5611. Students need to complete an application and make an agreement for repayment of the loan.
CARE Team
The CARE (Collaboration, Assessment, Response, Engagement) Team addresses and helps at-risk students obtain the needed supports and
assistance to be successful at WVU.
Anyone can report concerning, disruptive, alarming, or threatening behaviors to the
CARE Team. Please include all pertinent information pertaining to the student’s
behavior of concern, including any documentation that may be relevant.
Career Services Center
The
WVU Career Services Center helps undergraduate students, graduate students, and alumni. They offer resume writing assistance, self-assessments, career
counseling, mock interviews, career fairs, and more.
LGBTQ+
The
LGBTQ+ Center provides programming and academic resources for WVU students,
faculty, staff, and community members. The LGBTQ+ Center offers a warm,
comfortable atmosphere for organizing, socializing, teaching, and learning and welcomes all students, staff, faculty, and community members. The LGBTQ+ Center has campus resources and
community resources.
The Rack
The Rack provides non-perishable and perishable food items to all WVU students in need of assistance. Visit The Rack at the Student Organizations Services office.
Student Advocacy Center
The
Student Advocacy Center assists students with non-academic
questions and concerns and to make the proper referrals when necessary. Cut through
red tape by finding answers concerning campus policies and procedures. The Student HelpLine number is
304-293-5555.
Student Family Resources
Student Family Resources (SFR) provides high quality services and programs for students
who are parents. SFR provides a support system for WVU’s student parents to pursue
and complete their studies at West Virginia University.
Student Legal Services
Student Legal Services at West Virginia University provides advice, counseling, education, and representation to students to assist them in resolving legal issues.
Student Support Services
The Student Support Services (SSS)/TRIO program provides individualized services to students who are either first-generation, income eligible, or have a learning or physical disability.
WVU Center for Veteran, Military, and Family Programs
