Bio
Originally from Morgantown, WV, I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from West Virginia University. After graduation, I pursued a career as a professional dancer before returning to graduate school. I attended Teachers College, Columbia University and received my masters in Developmental Psychology. During my doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at the University of Kentucky, I had the opportunity to work in the university’s student counseling center and determined that working with college students would be my clinical focus. Following my coursework at UK, I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Carruth Center, which was additionally rewarding because I was providing services to students at my alma mater.
During my own professional development, I determined I am passionate about helping individuals improve their connections with themselves, family members, friends, and partners. My desire is to not only help others learn how to relieve their symptoms and stresses but also to improve their overall sense of well-being and self-awareness.
