Majeda Humeidan, Ph.D.
Majeda Humeidan, PhD, brings over 20 years of professional experience to the Carruth Center. As the Training and Assistant Director, she oversees the APA-accredited doctoral internship program and supervises the thriving practicum program along with the practicum coordinator. Before joining WVU, Majeda worked at various counseling centers in the US, director of student affairs, as well as faculty and chair of an academic department of Psychology in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. She taught courses on counseling, positive psychology, personality, assessment, and more.
Majeda earned her master’s and doctorate from Ball State University and Bachelor’s in Psychology from Ohio State. Some of her training and clinical areas of focus include identity development, multicultural issues, supervision, trauma, women’s issues, ethics and spirituality. Her theoretical orientation is integrative with a focus on existentialism and feminist and multicultural influences.
